I always enjoy seeing DJ/music producers who use their influence to promote up-and-coming artists. Ben Maxwell takes the new pop track by XYLØ and ever so gently twists it into the dance track he sees potential in. This one begs to be turned up on your sound system 🔊.

If trap/electronic isn’t your scene, the original track stands up on it’s own, the official music video below:

Zara Larsson has another #1 single on her hands. Building off the success of her single last year, Never Forget You in collaboration with MNEK, earlier this year Tinie Tempah released one of my favorite tracks of 2016: Girls Like featuring Zara on vocals (mega post there on Tinie Tempah if you need a catchup). Then in June, Larsson was featured in the official song of UEFA Euro 2016, David Guetta’s This One’s for You. “Ain’t My Fault” is the first single off her upcoming 2nd studio album, name and release date TBD. There’s also a killer remix by R3hab if you’re looking for a more club version of the song below.

Tove Lo said the music video was inspired by the “cool girl” monologue from the movie “Gone Girl”. Her next album “Lady Wood” comes out October 28th. Besides “Cool Girl” no other tracks from the new album had been released until this morning, Tove Lo released “Influence (feat. Wiz Khalifa)”. Listen below:

Tove Lo’s last hit was Moments last year. If you enjoyed that one, since then a Felix Snow – Moments (Remix) came out we recommend checking out.

Ria Mae is a pop/alternative artist from Halifax, Canada to keep an eye on. We recommend turning it up a couple extra clicks when listening to her latest music video “Gold”. Ria Mae enjoyed some spot light last year with her 2015 hit Clothes Off (produced by Classified), which has over 2 million views on YouTube now. I’ve been following Ria Mae since her first single Under Your Skin in 2011 off her first album, which is still one of my favorite unique tracks from her. Besides Gold and Clothes Off, other tracks to check out off her 2016 self titled album include Ooh Love, as well as it’s more upbeat remix Ooh Love (Neon Dreams Remix), and how can I resist plugging her collab track with Classified – Thoughts on Fire.

Ria Mae – Gold

Timeflies is an American duo that have been around since 2010. They have gained popularity by doing their Timeflies Tuesdays, where they will post content to their YouTube channel every Tuesday. This includes videos of remixes, performing live covers, and freestyling over original beats. Once In A While was released this year and is seriously catchy and a feel good summer beat. The video dropped last week and is pretty cool and well done. Check it out and let us know what you think!

DJ Earworm (Jordan Roseman) is back with his yearly United State of Pop mashup to wrap up the year. This year he managed to mashup the top 50 songs into a single track (previously it was only the top 25). Personally, we think this year’s version isn’t quite as good as last year’s United State of Pop 2014, you’ll notice it’s a little slower pace. “Music has been going through a softer phase than it was a few years ago so there’s that return of adult contemporary” said DJ Earworm. Still, it’s always amazing he’s able to merge that many hits into one; you can get a copy of the track to download free here.

Adele is back on the music scene at last and she’s saying “Hello” in a big way. The internet has been going crazy over this video since it’s debut on Friday, getting over 25 million views on its first day. Her 3-year hiatus and talk of wanting to “go out on a high” had us worried, but now, her third studio album, 25, is scheduled to be released on November 20th, 2015. If the rest of her album is anything like “Hello”, it’s got a good shot of being the album of the year. Okay, going back to listening to this on repeat for the 99th time.

Update: There’s already a great remix out. If you’re more into dance music, give this one a listen:

Adele – Hello

Demi Lovato released the music video for the title track on her new album, Confident, which hits shelves tomorrow. The music video also features Michelle Rodriguez of Fast & Furious fame. I’ll be honest, I still feel weird posting a Demi Lovato, Selena Gomez or Miley Cyrus track. Each being previously Disney teeny-bopper status who’ve now grown up and sufficiently change their image, they’re putting out some pretty damn catchy music. Her previously released lead single for the album, Cool For The Summer, was pretty good too.

This morning Ellie Goulding released the music video for the lead single off her upcoming new album Delirium, out November 6. The song appeared online last Friday on Apple Music and Spotify, but was deliberately not posted to Youtube or SoundCloud by the label to encourage user’s to buy the track (lame in our opinion). The last time we posted about Ellie was for her collaboration with Calvin Harris last year on Calvin Harris – Outside ft Ellie Goulding. The album will also include her hit from last year Love Me Like You Do (which we didn’t really like, but you may if you like her softer stuff) off the Fifty Shades of Grey soundtrack. You can find links to pre-order the album below.

We wanted to send a little love across the pond to the UK for Shakka’s new single Say Nada. Shakka hails from London, England and broke out onto the music scene in 2013 when he did the vocals for Wretch 32’s hit Blackout. He’s known for having a dub reggae/hip hop/pop sound. This new single is off his upcoming EP titled The Lost Boys which drops October 16. This one sounds good turned up in those headphones.
