Linkin Park has now released an official music video for Good Goodbye; their latest single that dropped early last month. The video adds intro music very similar to that of the Stranger Things title sequence, as well as being shot in an similar 1980s sci-fi movie look with neon red/pink bleeding edges. The video combines Mortal Kombat with NBA Jam in a supernatural life-or-death basketball competition where NBA legend Kareem Abdul-Jabbar serves as judge and executioner. Pusha T and Stormzy from the single also make appearances in the video. The rest of the album One More Light is out May 19.

The duo of last year’s beer pong anthem Pong Dance is back! This time Vigiland is taking over the repeat button on your Friday nights. With a very similar target audience to that of Pong Dance, their 2014 hit Shots and Squats has been their most successful hit to date.
Update May 11: Vigiland has now released the music video for Friday Night:
DJ Khaled recruits an all-star guest list of artists for his lead single “I’m The One” off his forthcoming studio album Grateful. The song was just released as well as the video. Everyone kills it, this one will definitely be one for the summer. Happy Friday! 🙂
It’s kind of surprisingly for me to be posting this and not the other BTC author Pat, he’s the bigger Kendrick Lamar fan, but I wanted to take this one as this is the best Lamar track I’ve heard in a long time. Plus, the visuals of this music video keep you watching; from Lamar as a pope, to him laying on a table of money shooting dollar bills from a money-gun(?), to his version of The Last Supper, to his peer’s heads set aflame wrapped in gasoline-soaked rope, there’s a lot of imagery here. In his previous single The Heart Part 4, he teased these tracks may or may not be leading up to a potential project that could arrive April 7, so come back next Friday to see if something drops.
Syd aka “Syd Tha Kyd” (not to be confused with Sid the Kid) is previously known for being a member of the band The Internet who’s genre is classified as neo soul. Syd’s music had previously gone unnoticed to me because of her genre but this new single’s synth sounds and drum kicks brings it into our wheelhouse of music taste. Her debut solo album, Fin, is out today February 3.
I always enjoy seeing DJ/music producers who use their influence to promote up-and-coming artists. Ben Maxwell takes the new pop track by XYLØ and ever so gently twists it into the dance track he sees potential in. This one begs to be turned up on your sound system 🔊.
If trap/electronic isn’t your scene, the original track stands up on it’s own, the official music video below:
For #throwbackthursday we’ve got our latest addition in our In Case You Missed It series. We’re jumping back to June last year when Hippie Sabotage dropped this gem High Enough on SoundCloud, a “flip” (aka remix) of Halsey‘s 2015 smash hit Gasoline. Embedded below is an unofficial video by Nato Gogichashvili which has far surpassed the listen count on SoundCloud and now has over 8 million views. High Enough turned into their followup hit to when the Sacramento brothers first broke onto the music scene in 2014, when their Tove Lo – Habits (Stay High) Remix was picked up by Tove Lo as an official single on her Truth Serum (EP).
We didn’t get a post out in time for Black Beatles when it came out Sept 2016, which is now at a crazy 300+ million views on Youtube, so we’re making sure we’ve got Rae Sremmund’s follow up hit on here. 2016 was a breakout year for the two brothers, but before Black Beatles their previous 2 singles Now That I Know (too slow) and Shake it Fast (terrible video) were not nearly as good, here’s hoping they continues on this trend.
I’ve found Krewella have been hit or miss ever since their smash hit Alive back in 2013. They have explored different sounds and styles but seem to have found another great track with the release of Team. They are back in the studio working on new music for a potential new album. Hopefully it has more of the same sound as this single, we are really digging it.
DJ Snake’s new video The Half is riding off the success of his last month hit Let Me Love You ft. Justin Bieber. Previous to that, you probably recognize the french producer most famously for his hit with Lil Jon – Turn Down for What. The Half is DJ Snake’s 4th official single off his debut album Encore.
