DJ-producer Steve Angello, formerly of EDM group Swedish House Mafia, has dropped a banger song with Pusha T titled Freedom. The song is politically charged with Pusha T emphasizing that “America’s ours” throughout the track. The artist will be releasing his new album, Almost Human, later this year.
David Guetta is back and has recruited some big names for a new banger. Afrojack, Charli XCX and French Montana hop on the track. We think this one will be a huge hit, so check it out before it blows up.
No stranger to cross-genre creation, Guetta has a new collaboration with Nick Minaj and brought in Lil Wayne as well to make it a Young Money duo. For both Guetta and Minaj being in two different genres of music, it’s kind of surprising but this is the fourth single they’ve released together. Previous singles being Where Them Girls At (2007), Turn Me On (2012), and Hey Mama (2015). This track will almost certainly lead to another Hot 100 entry for Guetta and Minaj. Minaj’s verses definitely remind me of her “Beez in the Trap” style rapping. While Lil Wayne only gets a single verse, heavily auto-tuned, reminding us of his hit Lollipop, it definitely leaves us wishing he had another verse on here.
Zara Larsson has another #1 single on her hands. Building off the success of her single last year, Never Forget You in collaboration with MNEK, earlier this year Tinie Tempah released one of my favorite tracks of 2016: Girls Like featuring Zara on vocals (mega post there on Tinie Tempah if you need a catchup). Then in June, Larsson was featured in the official song of UEFA Euro 2016, David Guetta’s This One’s for You. “Ain’t My Fault” is the first single off her upcoming 2nd studio album, name and release date TBD. There’s also a killer remix by R3hab if you’re looking for a more club version of the song below.
Flo Rida is back with a new track called Dirty Mind. He recruits American singer Sam Martin to help out with the track. This is pretty typical Flo Rida, so expect to be hearing this in the clubs for the next little while.
Mash-up extraordinaire duo The White Panda are back with their sixth (!) album titled The Pawprint. Once again, they do mash-ups that you never thought were possible and make them sound awesome (Backstreet Boys and TuPac? Rihanna and Kongos? lol and so many other super cool blends). Check out the continuous mix of the album below or check out here for a track by track listing/playing.
This one should be a pretty good way to get the party started on a Saturday night!
Avicii recently released the fourth official single from his album Stories, featuring the much anticipated collaboration with the Zac Brown Band. This is a super catchy track and is trademark Avicii. The album hits stores tomorrow, be sure to check it out! (iTunes link)
Personally my current jam on repeat (a spot previously held by Benmar – Hula Hoop). Tinashe’s an upcoming artist to watch out for going mainstream. All Hands on Deck is the 3rd single off the debut studio album Aquarius released October of last year. Her previous first two single’s 2 On ft. SchoolBoy Q and slower pace’d Pretend ft. A$AP ROCKY were also released as music videos.
She even managed to score a feature from Iggy Azalea for the official remix.
NYC producer Brenmar (from Chicago) teams up with NJ’s UNiiQU3 on the vocals. Brenmar blends R&B, hip-hop and club music with some serious horns for this jam. It’s part of the 4 track Award EP, you can listen to the whole EP on SoundCloud here. The Don’t Want It track isn’t bad either. Check out The Fader’s interview with Brenmar for more.
